This video is funny but it socks home why I find facebook inappropriate for a congregation’s only online, social, presence. The environment and manipulation is the opposite of how we want to change the world and also live counter-culturally. It’s radical inhospitality. Meanwhile, if the commercial for OraPup plays before the video, watch it all the way through. Is it fact or fiction?

  1. For my congregation, FB is one online site — not the only. However, for all its shortcomings, it’s the most dynamic and attractive of all our online offerings. Is FB policy confusing and annoying? Unquestionably. But it’s still extremely useful — and the price is right!

  2. Thanks for posting this clip. It is hilarious and unfortunately right on. Facebook doesn’t work for congregational conversations, but I do think it’s useful for visibility, for ensuring that some information is accessible
